Hi there!

I’m a reporter, interviewer, and storyteller. Oh, and I do technical writing, too!

As news and feature editor at Between The Lines, my work spanned across the realms of current events and entertainment. I’ve interviewed stars like Wanda Sykes, Margaret Cho, and Emily Saliers as well as political figures like Gloria Steinem, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Attorney General Dana Nessel. My columns have been distributed nationally via Q Syndicate, and I am still a regular contributor to BTL and other publications.

I was thrilled to work for Change Matrix as a communications specialist and content manager. I am challenged daily to draw on my skills as a storyteller to reach consumers on both national and statewide levels, and I was excited to work on equity-focused projects that often center the voices of those most marginalized. I was especially grateful to be in a position where I could do that while staying true to my LGBTQ+ identity.

Today, I’m most excited about my new Sr Technical Communicator Position with Puget Sound Energy. It’s a new step for me, but I’m glad to be on this latest creative adventure!

Dana Nessel Won’t Back Down

To get a sense of the immense progress made by the LGBTQ community over the last several decades it’s perhaps best to scale down and examine personal achievement. In Michigan, it’s arguable that the person who might best be used as this human metric is Attorney General Dana Nessel. …
